Thank you for visiting our website. We are Wes & Laurie Wilcox, missionaries with the International Mission Board, serving in southern Zambia since 1998.

We are part of a larger team of missionaries working in Central, Eastern and Southern Africa (CESA) engaging lostness. We are part of a smaller team of missionaries known as the Baptist Mission of Zambia (BMOZ) working together to reach over 72 people groups with the gospel message. We are part of an even smaller team of missionaries called the "Zambezi Valley Team," working in the southern province of Zambia among the BaTonga People.

What’s up with the ministry?

Our ministry in Zambia includes church planting and development. What does this involve? It is a many-faceted ministry, focusing on bringing people to Jesus, discipleship of new believers, planting new churches and helping them to develop into strong healthy churches that fulfill the Great Commission to go, baptize, and teach (Matthew 28:19-20)

There is much work to be done and many places that we have not yet reached. "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." We are praying that the Lord of the harvest will bring ministry partners to join us in the work. We hope that as you read the stories that appear on this website, your heart will be touched and you will join us on mission to the BaTonga People of Zambia.
